I make two types of music. Yours, and mine.

My music is raw and unfiltered, usually written and recorded at 3am while I am drunk. It is filled with confusing and impatient melodies and accidental counter melodies… some may find it crude, some may find it awesome. That doesn’t matter, it’s my music.

On the other hand…

Your music is usually fairly bland, and can be described by using words like, “uplifting” or perhaps, “suspenseful”… This music is created for you or your client. This music can sound like the latest folk rock hit, or the next big dance song that the teenagers will love. You need dark sounding strings that explode into an epic wall of distorted guitar? Sure, I do that. Your music is composed and recorded with fine attention to detail, and is meant to be a supplemental soundscape for whatever visual or narrative it is accompanying. Your music is recorded completely sober during normal scheduled 9am-5pm work hours.
